Very nice limestone carved head of a woman saint, wearing a laurel wreath, symbol of martyr. Formerly painted with some traces remaining, showing features typical of late XV c. - early XVI c. art especially from the Champagne - Troyes school, this head displays calm, pensive and melancholic characters, suitable to a woman Saint. The laurel wreath may also indicate a representation of a Virtue. From a half-life size statue.
