The bare foot still visible show that we are in presence of an apostle (or another prominent New Gospel figure such as the Christ or st John-the-Baptist).
However the lower part of a walking stick still clearly visible on the figure's left helps to identify the figure as one of st James' pair, which one is not clear without the top of the stick.

The figure holds an attribute in his right hand, perhaps a book.

The upper part completely missing. The statue probably sawed or the top made flat for use as a stand. The drapery displays the fine flute folds and the "wet" overlaying tunic, as well as a nice cascade of large V folds on the front, sign of a XIV c. piece.
